Most people don't tell everyone they know when they've had the virus.
If you think you don't know anyone who has had it, you're probably wrong.

No (Active case). Yes (Recovered case). 3 co-workers I've never met also currently have it, apparently.
Yes - I know lots of people who have had Covid or who have it now. I ve had 10 family members get it (NY, NJ, PA) 3 passed away (all elderly all in NY), 6 recovered, 1 in hospital with it now, a bunch of people in our building have it so have colleagues at work or members of their families (my secretary’s family was hit hard she lost 2 family members).
Never been tested for it, but probably had it in early February. Had all the symptoms, and it wasn’t that bad.
I tested positive for the antibodies and so did the rest of my family. I never felt sick these last couple months and the most I had was a really stuffy nose that I thought was allergies.
The masters sprinter chap over at www.master-athlete.com got it, think it hit him a bit, he was keeping training blog until that point
Yes.
We have some decent population level data from antibody testing at this point. In the worst hit neighborhoods of New York City or Boston, something like 20 - 30% of people might now have immunity. Not enough for herd immunity but better than nothing. Data from the rest of the US is generally more like <1% - 5%. So, sadly there is probably more suffering to come.
Most of the variation between cities and states in Covid-19 deaths per capita is explained by infections per capita. If you take the number of deaths in your city or state, multiply it by 100 (lower bound) or 200 (upper bound), and divide it by the population you have a decent estimate of the infection rate. Taking Tennessee with 483 deaths and a population of 6.8 million that gives you about 0.7 - 1.4% infected.

Yes. Several including two who have died. You are looking for anecdotal evidence to convince yourself that it's ok to go about life as it was before this virus. It's not. Until we have a very good widely-available treatment or a vaccine or demonstrated herd immunity, it is not without real risk to just go about your life as if this didn't exist.
This is not a political issue. Just because you are tired of the virus doesn't mean it is tired of you.
Let me get this straight. Your TV tells you there is a pandemic. Your TV tells you not to wear a mask. Your tv tells you to wear a mask. Your Tv tells you 2 million deaths, then 50000 thousand, now 100000. Lot of conflicting info.
You rTV tells you there will be a resurgence, it tells you be very afraid because likely the absolute worst case scenario will happen.
There is no data to confirm worst case scenarios, nor can you confirm that 100000 people have died.
It sounds like we are all conspiracy theorist.

"There is no data to confirm worst case scenarios"
There is also no data to confirm that you will die if you shoot yourself in the head. You could be special. But, normally we use past experience and knowledge from those with past experience to make a solid guess about what would happen. There have been other viruses, other pandemics.
"nor can you confirm that 100000 people have died"
You could theoretically set about confirming it for yourself. But yeah, it would be impractical for one person to do. The organizations responsible for recording and reporting deaths have been doing it for a long time. I am willing to trust them.

You are right. You should have stayed open to make sure that everyone got the virus. The meat packing industry figured this out long ago.
Three restaurants less than a mile from my house closed because employees tested positive. A camp my neighbors were sending their kids closed because a staff member tested positive. These all occurred within the last week as Texas has been reopening.
Ahh Roy and his Liberal indoctrination. The great thing about the hysteria crew is you have a can't lose argument.
If the virus goes away or turns out not to be that serious then you can say, look the actions we took saved the day and many more would have died if we didn't take these actions. If the measures failed to stop the virus's spread you can just blame it on the darn Republicans for not social distancing hard enough.
Yes, I had it.
Very mild symptoms, a small headache and some body pains.
My mother got it quite hard, she was sick for like 4 weeks, however luckily didn't go to the hospital.
I know someone who tested positive, but they didn't get real sick, they felt fine but had to stay inside for two weeks

Yes. There's been quite a lot of them. They're not that hard to find.
I can't find any.
Nearly 4 mos into this pandemic and living in one pf the "hotspots" (Boston area) and nobody I have talked to personally knows anyone who has been sick with the virus.
Lots of six degrees of Kevin Bacon stuff like I heard that someone I used to work with has a cousin who had it.
Yes, multiple people who have it and one who died in Seattle from COVID-19.
Zero!
Who are you people that don't know a single doctor? Or does 3rd hand knowledge not count?
It’s not 100,000 dead Americans it is over 118,000. Will be around 119,000 dead Americans by the end of today.
The number will continue to rise for some time.
Nope, not anyone. Live in a city of 35,000. No one I've talked to knows anyone either. Lots of people out now running and walking as the weather improves, all seem to be in a great health and mood these days.
