JFC how many of these threads are there going to be? I know multiple people who got sick, and my former student and coworker died.
If you *don't* know anyone who got sick/died from it, I'm genuinely glad: That means the lockdown procedures and curve-flattening worked and *are* working.
What it *doesn't* mean is that COVID-19 somehow isn't real, or that 100,000+ Americans haven't died from it, or that the lockdown/wearing masks/social distancing haven't saved many, many thousands of lives.
Not a soul
Unfortunately there are going to be infinite threads like this because the people posting them aren't interested in reality. They want people to reply that they've never met anyone who had coronavirus so that they can feel justified in going around and whining that it's fake. They're just trying to create echo chambers and it's clearly working, so they'll keep doing it.
I had it (luckily not really badly), I personally know people who had it, and some of my friends have lost family members from it, and there are still people who won't take it seriously. It's honestly disgusting and infuriating, but the sad truth is that they won't change and they'll probably be the ones endangering others by not following guidelines.
No I feel like there's a chance pretty much everyone has got it in populated areas already. it's hard to say I guess we'll find out more information if there's a big spike in the areas where there's all the protests in a week or so here.

Nail.
Head.
Thanks.
Yes. Multiple people. 1 died, he was pretty old. Another is/was on a ventilator mid 50s guy.
A 20-something at work had it. Recovered ok. Also some of the security people, also recovered as far as I know.
Why these fools persist with these stupid conspiracy theories, or why the site owners allow it, is beyond me, They may as well argue the earth is flat.

Shut your filthy mouth, democrat. No one forced you to respond. Now go back to stealing Netflix and believing the New York Times is honest journalism.
Yes. There's been quite a lot of them. They're not that hard to find.

Lmao, I guarantee you're one of the people who is completely fine with these mass protests. F off with this following guidelines bull ****.
I am patient #1 in U.S.
December 2019.
I have contacted C.D.C. x 3.
For one week to ten days I walked around feeling like final 150 metres of 400m dash. I was coughing blood at peak of my illness. I forced myself to go on walks twice a day no matter how badly I felt, even if only 1/2 a mile.
I certainly became covid-19 positive at breakfast buffet at hotel. Numerous Chinese citizens were at said hotel for December university graduation.

What did your doctor say?
Actually I'm not okay with the mass protests. My problem obviously isn't that there are people protesting, that's their right, but they're all in such close proximity all the time and some aren't even wearing masks and that's going to make this virus spread more. Especially if there's tear gas involved and they all start coughing and sneezing. There are better ways to protest during a pandemic (i.e. the way they were doing in Israel a month or so ago where they marked out 2-metre intervals for people to social distance while they were there).
Even without the protests, the situation will still get bad because America is reopening even though the numbers are still indicating that this isn't even close to over and there still isn't a vaccine. Best-case scenario, like someone else here mentioned, is that a lot of people were/are asymptomatic and develop immunity so that the spike in cases isn't too bad.

Yes, a plant I work with had a breakout. More than 20 people tested positive, likely others would have tested positive but were not at the stage to test positive or had already beat the virus. All were asymptomatic except for the initial person who had cold-like symptoms. No one required medical care and everyone is now recovered and back to work.
Basically the plant was shutdown for 3 weeks because someone had a headache. Doesn't seem like an overreaction at all......
I have been aware of a few others who tested positive but no one who had serious symptoms.

You are right. You should have stayed open to make sure that everyone got the virus. The meat packing industry figured this out long ago.
Three restaurants less than a mile from my house closed because employees tested positive. A camp my neighbors were sending their kids closed because a staff member tested positive. These all occurred within the last week as Texas has been reopening.

Didn’t take long for your true colors to out the agenda behind your thread.
Some people haven’t known anybody with Covid? I didn’t even know this was a question. I don’t even live in a city, I live in the suburbs outside of a medium sized city in California and three families I know personally in my neighborhood have tested positive. I have a friend who’s aunt died from it but she lived in New York.
What just happened here? You literally asked him to respond, and then after he responds you tell him to shut his mouth and that nobody forced him to respond. He never complained about being forced to respond or anything that would make your response make any sense.
Yes had an older woman come in my office Thursday fit as a fiddle. She died from it Tuesday . I know a 2 year old who died from it in his sleep .
Plus, even if you survive it you probably are going to have life long health problems .

Um, plenty of mouth breathers on this site think the earth is flat. There is at least one lengthy intermittently active thread on the topic.
Why the brosjo allow it, who the hell knows.
