I'm outside working all day. Come home it's 80 in the house and no fans going. She says she's cold. I kicked her out of the house gave her a blanket and I turned the AC down to 75.
So am I wrong?

Why? Doing what?
Hire a staff, you peasant.
Yes, you’re wrong...you only put it on 75. When the ac is on, it’s at 72 minimum.

Wow, kinda harsh, don’t you think? How long you guys been married? It’s all about compromise...?
Sweatingthrumyeyes, How old are you? How many miles a week/year do you average? PRs?... I've been in the construction business for 40 years. A lot of my runs end up with me turning around and walking home...p.s. Don't be a dick.
If you’ve been working outside all day then 80 would feel nice and chill.
Maybe you should spend time heating it up with your wife? Give her a reason to turn down the thermostat.

As a fellow carpenter, I find a lot of your posts kind of dickish.

You are not wrong. 80 is way too high for the thermostat. It should be set low enough that no one in the house is too hot. Anyone that is cold can put on more clothes or go outside in the heat.

Nah you’re right to do that. You can always do something about being cold, but little when it’s hot. I live in the land of no AC, where people think AC makes you sick: Germany. It hit 27° C (80,6° F) inside, and it was impossible to relax, let alone sleep at night. I’s crank the AC down to 70° F if I were you.
CO2 is at record levels, and you're using air conditioning? Think of the children and the world they will inherit. Keep the A/C at 80+, or better yet turn it off.
If you can work in 95 degree heat then you can relax and be cool in 80 degrees. Unless you are a complete wuss that is.
The wussification of humanity began with air conditioning. Fact.

Agreed. I'm going to pay to run the AC, I'm gonna make it worth my while.

I hope you can relax and be cool in 2,600 degree heat.
