Yeah, okay, let's mark him down for a 47.5 then.
Seriously dawg, I couldn't even break 60, but I split about 54.2 on the 4x400.

So over a day later and no real result?

Nah, he drove the board hard.
But reals: his top moment was predicting that Mo would crush that 1500. Everyone said it was BS but he ended up running 3:28 one of the fastest times ever.
Worst moment: when he argued like mad calling everyone idiots that Iguider's WL 1500 at that shitty track in Marseille (or somewhere like that) was legit when in reality they clearly started from the wrong start line (Steeple start - track used an outside jump). Then he had all the posts deleted and claimed later to never have argued that position.
My favorite moment was when he argued with Nick Willis himself over his 400 speed (he said 49-mid, Willis said he couldn't break 50). Next day a coach in Flagstaff comes back to the thread and says Willis just time trialed a 49.4. Funny as sh!t
Classic
The OP said "supposedly" so I'm guessing that there really was no time trial.

Had to have run like 52+ or something. I mean he already looked like he was sprinting that 800m. A search for “Leo daschbach 400m time trial” doesn’t show any new info.
I made this thread. A relative of his, maybe his aunt of mother made an Instagram post saying in the caption that he is doing 400m time trial the next morning. I have no idea where to find the results, I looked back on the original page and nothing was posted again about it. I'd link the post but I'm new to this site and don't know how. Maybe he just wanted to keep it quiet, no problem with that, kids don't always need their times publicised to the world.

It often seems like distance runners for some reason pride themselves in being "slow" to the point where they convince themselves they have absurdly slow 400m potential.
Anyone else notice this? What is the point? To make them feel better about their mile times or something? I've seen it from both elites and casual runners who say they can run a 5min mile but can't break 72 in a 400.
Question:
Are these Leo's PR's correct that I pulled off of MileSplit AZ?
50.27, 1:51.99, 3:59.54, 8:51.09
400/800/Mile/3200
js
I believe he ran under 1:50 this spring in a time trial
Last year he ran a 50.27 and 1:51.99, so now that he's run 1:49 I'm going to just assume he can run a 49.

Very few people like to think of themselves as talented. They would rather think they go where they were by hard work.
Realistically most distance runners don't know their 400m PR. They never run the distance when rested and in decent shape. When they say they have never run sub 50, they aren't lying. It is just they don't have a good feel of what they could do.
The 400m test will be
239 / 4.8 ...
49+
48 he needs a running start
