Hiltz is just so happy in the interview after the race and excited about the strength of the American team for world's, so give some credit out for breaking a 40 y old record set by an athlete who at the time was dominant in the world against the Soviet Bloc doped athletes, had married a doping throws guy, and later exceeded the test-epitest level set by the doping bodies of the time, while being coached by Salazar.
Why should a stunning and brave non-binary athlete have to be constrained by the gender binary when racing?

That's old news. "Trans community" is not a monolithic group of people.
Hiltz ran a 4:20.7 today. Does this count as the American women's record - as it's not on an eligible course and Hiltz isn't a woman?
