This is a serious question, not trolling. I'm kinda lost on some of this gender identity and records. If a person does not identify as a specific gender do they care about breaking a gender specific record? Are they happy or upset because they are being gender labeled for a record? I believe in the past they have complained about announcers using the wrong pronouns, so it seems they would be upset about breaking a American "women's" record? Crazy times
I’m as liberal as it gets and even I don’t know. Anyone non-binary on this forum? Hiltz competes in the women’s division, so they would technically be the American Women’s mile record holder, I presume?
My issue with your post is this is an issue that Nikki has specifically brought up.In this case Nikki has been upset with people using the wrong pronoun. So when I see they broke a gender specific record, it's a valid question on how they feel about it. I would have no idea on how Nikki identities except they have brought it up. By your logic announcers shouldn't care how Nikki feels and use whatever pronoun they feel like using, right?
