We THINK Semenya is XY??? That was in the documents from the original inquiry.

I think CAS might blink after 1:52/1:53.. but yeah, sub 1:50 is probably unfortunately more likely necessary.

But what really needs to happen is TV coverage showing Semenya up close.

The coverage always pulls away/shows her far out/ that 4x400 she won with those 3 other girls - s/he hid behind the 3 of 'em and just had her face showing in the picture.

There's a reason track fans are so upset by this, but the casual fan just doesn't see it. and if the camera angles at the olympics hide it, that wont help the cause.

Agree. However, there is only so much they can hide. It is going to come out in the wash. She has grown up from a few years back, and looks even more like a fuller man now than she did before (Semenya I mean). The athletes speaking out about it are right to do so (I think Sharp did. and copped a huge amount of criticism for her stance), and we should be backing them. Not hiding scared of other - very stupid and cowardly - people's opinions. It is ridiculously obvious that a bunch of XY men are scooping the prizes in women's races.

We have entered a surreal world, which lacks in all common sense when we cannot state the obvious and demand something be done about it (hormone therapy be reinstated at the very least).

Brilliant idea! Rudisha should compete in both the men's and women's 800m at Rio! He can be the first athlete to win both the men's and women's 800m in the Olympics. That would rain on Semenya's parade.

It's kind of funny/ironic to me that women have been complaining/campaigning about equality for the last 50+ years and now we have a circumstance where a human is basically directly in the middle of a man and a woman and women are real bent out of shape about this.

For the record, if I was a woman I would not be happy with Caster running in female races without treatment. Semenya is basically right in line with what all those east Europeans were doing 30 years ago (maybe slightly better, "she" hasn't been pushed yet so we don't know). Women CAN NOT run 47.60 for 400 meters or 1:53 for 800. They just can't. There is a reason people keep winning worlds in 1:56+. If a Man ran a 41.53 or a 1:36.11 I would say the same thing. Not possible.

Can you guys imagine if Billy Jean King played a man who wasn't 55+ years old, or if people talked about the other 5 battle of the sexes matches that didn't go a woman's way?
