It's funny how one of the posters above dismissed Kiprop and Farah while praising Bannister and Ryun by saying, "They were world record holders. Kiprop and Farah, not so much." Kiprop is the third fastest ever! Farah is top ten all-time in the history of the world. And if you're so sure that Farah and Kiprop are doping...who's to say that Ryun and Bannister weren't doping in their own way. I'd say it's just as likely if not more so since there weren't exactly strict regulations back then.

The events he decides to do depends on his best chances to win gold in sit and kick races. That's Farah's #1 concern - to win medals NOT to do his best event and NOT to compete against the best.
Plenty of runners choose their best chance to medal instead of their best event. If you don't know this, then you need to watch the sport more.

If he wanted to compete against the best he'd run the 100 meters. He is most successful at 5k/10k therefore it's his best event.

i agree with youFarah has 8 WC and olympic GOLD medals.i don't care if his pb is a 3:24 1500m world record but a lot of people on this board (i'm guessing most are younger than 24 years old) want times not medals. they'll come around in a few yearsthose gold medals are worth way more than a world record or a 3:28 PB kiddos

Kwemoi went from 7th to 1st!!! on the last lap. He was behind Farah and got the win.
