Oh no, someone is upset we won’t buy into that imposed pronoun nonsense. We have to guess what this person thinks they are every day.. There are only TWO genders. No men in women’s sports BTW
Nikki Hiltz set the American record in the mile in the non-binary category. Since NH doesn't identify as a woman how, can NH claim any gender specific record?
She didn't, she claimed a sex specific record -the genetic/biological female record.
Congrats to Nikki, I had no idea she was in this type of shape until US champs. Even then I didn’t expect an AR out of her
I’m genuinely curious, did Nikki have to surgery? Not that this takes away from the legitimacy of the record in anyway. I could have sworn she did but I could not find any posts or articles on it, is my memory is failing me?
So youvare saying that she is female 100% of the time. What is this gender thing then? Are thise the cultural norms associated with being a particular sex? Seems sexist on her part to say that the sexes are different. Can't we act however we choose? I am starting to not like her.
Personally when a non-binary has the body of a man and wears men's running shorts to try and cover up anything that would identify that person as a man, then that indicates to me that the non-binary person IS a man.
Assuming a non-binary is a woman just because the non-binary runs in a women's event and disregarding all the evidence to the contrary just doesn't make any sense to me.
Though it might surprise you, I’m in agreement with your basic point (not necessarily with your NPC canned statement about white make egos or whatever). I have said before I don’t mind Hiltz running with women, because I think that’s what she is. I have a problem with the inconsistency in how activists use the terms “sex” and “gender” and their inconsistency regarding which one matters in what contexts, and I have a very, very strong suspicion that there’s no such thing as a non-binary human outside of a currently popular fantasy trend by which people take a preference for LOOKING androgynous (which is their choice and something I don’t criticize) and turning it into some deep-down thing where the person is actually, literally, truly androgynous, which is silly and at least potentially dangerous, if it tends to push people toward surgery, hormone replacement, etc. (I don’t know if it does, but I suspect it might, and as I say, that isn’t the main point, the main point is that “non-binary” is not a real thing.)
Hiltz did an interview a while ago where they (whatever) said they are gender fluid. Sometimes they wake up in the morning feeling like a "dude" and other times like a "powerful queen" and other times non-binary. So just by an extraordinary coincidence every morning on a day they're due to compete they wake up feeling like a woman.
When Hiltz set the record I wonder if she had felt like a "dude" that day or a "powerful queen" - like she says she does. (Sorry - "they".)

Can)should they qualify for women's records? Even compete in women's division? Nikki doesn't identify as a woman. Isn't that what this means?I don't have an opinion on this. I'm legitimately confused
This is a serious question, not trolling. I'm kinda lost on some of this gender identity and records. If a person does not identify as a specific gender do they care about breaking a gender specific record? Are they happy or upset because they are being gender labeled for a record? I believe in the past they have complained about announcers using the wrong pronouns, so it seems they would be upset about breaking a American "women's" record? Crazy times
I’m as liberal as it gets and even I don’t know. Anyone non-binary on this forum? Hiltz competes in the women’s division, so they would technically be the American Women’s mile record holder, I presume?

I'm sorry, but what laws did America pass against lgbt?
I would pump the brakes on this one. Florida in particular is making it very difficult to to live life as an alternative gender.
No, they aren't. They can live their lives day by day just like anyone else. What you meant to say is that they want special laws for themselves and Florida is saying NO. Try again
Exactly. Hiltz stated that "The word I use currently to describe my gender is non-binary. The best way I can explain my gender is as fluid. Sometimes I wake up feeling like a powerful queen and other days I wake up feeling as if I’m just a guy being a dude".
Yet it's interesting that Hiltz always feels like a woman on race day.
