Welteji 3:53.9. I thought maybe she was gonna go backwards when she let Kipyegon gap her so quickly, but obviously she knew exactly what she was doing. Obviously Kipyegon has rendered everyone else an also-ran this year but Welteji is now operating at a very high level.
Incredible. Her lead going into the final lap was one of the greatest things i've ever seen,
Could her season this year be considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest season by any distance runner, male or female? Multiple world records, a world championship double, undefeated, and diamond league champion?
These Us 1500m women were pathetic on American Soil. Sinclaire didn’t want to be there from the start positioning herself in last.Addy Wiley should’ve ran this race. She would’ve taken full advantage of the opportunity.

Wiley fans are annoying as sh*t but this wasn't a great appearance from the US women today. Wiley should have been entered instead.
I generally don't think doping speculation is helpful or even worth spending any time on (especially given some of the loons who post her) but I noticed on BBC commentary that immediately after the race Tim Hutchings said "only Genzebe Dibaba and a couple of Chinese athletes from the 90s have ran 3:50" and a couple of minutes later "she recovers so well". I don't think those are just chance or throwaway remarks and he would be extremely cognisant of their implications.

He should have brought up the shoes if he's going on about it.

Addy Wiley would have run under 3.55, may even have gone with the Kenyan doper. She should have been in it, shameful for DL to exclude her. Would be close to WU20 record as she is still 19yo.

Said it once, will say it again: Sinclaire Johnson needs to get back to the *hard* work she was doing with Bowerman. That base just isn’t there like it was just after she moved. Back to the work, baby! Has all the talent…

Is he supposed to lie and say lots of women have run 3:50?
