Men's pace is sagging... Still no movement from elites, they fell back into a big pack again. Meb will probably start pushing in the next few miles, he looks like he is itching to go.

Shouldn't Meb be trying to push the pace a little?

Also, those aren't even the criticisms of her. "You'll never go through puberty." Wth? That's not the criticism coming from the running community. I've never heard anyone say she didn't have the grades either. People think it's dumb to give up a full ride for $500 prize money, not that she couldn't get into college. Nobody thinks she's anorexic or not going through puberty, people think she has bad mechanics, doesn't do enough speed, hasn't improved her 5K since age 13, can't mentally deal with adversity in races, DNFs and makes excuses when races don't go her way spends too much time running the same loop with daddy on a bike, and does heavy mileage for seemingly diminishing returns. People think she's overhyped for her talent and potential. She doesn't address those criticisms.

Sad that B. Deba is out. I would love to see her win in NYC but it looks like it will probably never happen.

Men's slow pace seem like an open door for Kipsang to put the hammer down eventually since this has got to be a joke pace for him.
