Hocker needs to learn that anyone can kick off 3:37 pace. He has a pretty good kick off a fast pace but it isn't anything special off such a slow pace. NCAA kids are built for that kind of race. SMH!
Kara voucher called every individual who took the lead in the womens 1500 a "they". So now everyone must abide by 1 individuals pronouns
Down voting an observation is so soft. Didn't say anything about disagreeing with her pronouns. Just stated I what I heard: Butler makes a move and "they" take the lead.
Hocker lost this race for the same reason he got DQ'd in the semis at Worlds -- he is confident being at the front all the way until 400 to go when he lets the field go by him putting him an a horrible spot. At Worlds he tried to force a way through and today he just was out of it. Maybe he was a bit tired after the 3000 yesterday, but he also just let the move happen and seemingly hoped it would just work out.
My take is that Hocker is near the top of the pyramid, but this is a chink in the armor that shows that he just isn't Jakob level when it comes to being a dual threat.
Jakob is the greatest of this era, adn there's still quite a gap for somebody to take that from him.

That's a real good point. His fast pace kick sets him apart. Slow pace, kick becomes a toss-up.

What’s the last global championship 1500m “dual threat” Jakob won?
Seems like they both have the armor chunk that championship 1500m races bring.

almost anybody trying to use THEY THEY THEY in conservation has their natural flow of thought throttled and stumbles over and misses other important things to talk about. it's one more unnecessary thing for the brain to juggle. Obama famously limited his suit pairings in order to conserve mental energy. Small things make a difference.
Anybody demanding a THEY is a narcissist. And the hate towards Nikki would be cut down by 99% if she didn't push that stupidity.
She makes the comment that "it's not that deep." well, whether you're called a he or she is actually the thing that's "not that deep." so why care about it?
