I have no idea why the mods were deleting day 2 thread and forcing everyone to post in day 1 thread. We apologize. Better later than never.
Bromell looked pretty good in 60m prelims. Wiley cruised to the women's 800 title.

Coopa time.
Sean Dolan getting DFL will only be the 2nd worst thing for the Atlanta track club
Cooper with another easy win. Bring on worlds!
Cooper grabs it at 400 and pulling away. Huge win
Does Harris get to go to world cuz Dolan doesn't have the standard? I guess Dolan can chase the time before sometimes next week.

Kid made that look too easy. Smart racing by taking the lead early and staying out of traffic
Why is the mSP so weak today? kovac has 4 throws under 20m? Also, the mHJ was pretty weak.
I know the other big 800m names aren't running indoor nationals, but it's just incredible to watch these grown men, pretty well established professionals, try to sit and kick on 17 year old Lutkenhaus, just for him to completely outclass them. Cooper was in no danger of losing that race
Wow. Effortless.
Best part about that race for Cooper was winning, but also doing it smartly by controlling it and keeping clear of any traffic / being boxed in / stuck outside once he realized what the pace was. Looked the part of a pro.
How fortuitous that Cooper’s high school spring break coincides with the World Indoor Championships!
Right before the thread switched someone asked about Addy Wiley cancer. I didn’t know she was a cancer survivor either. I looked it up and she had a tumor between her lung and diaphragm as a kid. She has two titanium staples holding it together (according to the internet). If true that is incredible that she ended up being an elite runner. She looked great out there today.
Harris tried it but Cooper is too good to be denied
He looked completely relaxed and in control and he’s never done this before! (Pro circuit, pro race as favorite, indoor champs, etc etc). And we’re all already conditioned just to be used to it. What a blessing to be witnessing this real time.

It seems like he is well coached. He is so composed. Impressive for anyone, much less a high school junior.
Some real fast HSers in the 60m final!
Talk about running scared. Harris & Jewitt had their minds made up before the gun. At least Dolan went for it.
That was stellar. Cooper went tactical and still had no problem. In final 100m everyone behind him was sprinting hard and he looked so easy. He finally shifted gears in final 50m. Amazing. It wasn't fast - he's just so much better than this competition. Will be interesting to see how he handles Worlds. Glad Dolan got up for second.
