Hiltz ran the race Nick Willis style. Basically was on the rail and ran very little extra distance. Few surges. Hiltz had a great stretch run but yes you could argue there was too much left to do the last 250.

Something like that, but with Meshesha, Mageean, Hall, Debues-Stafford, Nanyondo, Andrews, Embaye…it seemed like there were infinite possibilities.
I know you expressed disappointment in that field the other day, and I get it, none of the top 5 were present. But I was excited to see some of the #s 6-20 do battle, instead of seeing how close Tsegay/Muir/Welteji could stay to Kipyegon.

Hall is currently the 8th fastest performer in the world in the women’s 400-meter hurdles. She has now finished 3rd and 5th in two Diamond League races in that event this year. I’d say that’s very good.
