Don't know about anyone else, but after the excitement of Eugene, Birmingham, Munich, and Monaco, this meet felt really boring. I'm glad the crowd were into it but the performances were all middle of the road. There's not a single thing I'll remember about this meet in a few weeks

Large domination from El Bakkali in Lausanne. Some were asking him for a WR in his facebook page. I still maintain that he is a 3:30 miler in shape right now.
He train exclusively athletics in Iran and nothing else.
A brotherhood joked on me yesterday when I invoked the name of El Bakkali (corrupt federation, Ahizoun a thieve and surrounded by blood suckers ... etc).
Non Mister we are controlling one of the best distances in tracks and field.

The difference in body shape alone is clear as day whilst watching, even if you ignore the ridiculous turn of speed at the end of the race that left world class women in the dust.

Per Norwegian media Jakob had agreed with organisers that the light was set to 3:28, but realised it was not during the race. (It was set to 3:30).

Obviously Niyonsaba now knows the truth but, in my opinion, there is a world of difference between Niyonsaba and say, Lia Thomas or Laurel Hubbard. But as I've pointed out, that recognition doesn't stretch to acceptance of any of these athletes in women's sport which I believe should be protected for biological females.
