Anyone have the back of the napkin on Korir’s chances? I can’t seem to find the WA site that would show it.
Quite good if I understood the WA site well enough.
Korir's two performances: Paris 2:09:31 for 7th, which is 1182 points (1168 for time, 14 for position in that B race)
Average of 2 = 1186 points, while the current 68th placer is on 1185 points.
80th is currently at 1129 points, but I feel like this could be skewed if someone from a 'less known country' doesn't yet have two good performances?
Fiona O'Keeffe won in 2:22:10!
At 25 miles, the leaders are
Can Sara Hall get 4th and sneak in as alternate? Nvm. McClain dominated mile 26
Great day for puma! With a healthy molly seidel they would have a chance at 3 out of 4 top spots
Props to Shadrack for finishing- 1:04/1:16 has got to be so painful
I’m sure they discussed this ahead of time and how they would divy up the pot. Mantz probably has a much larger contract bonus for a trials win resulting in more total money for them to split.
What a run by Lindwurm. Looking forward to cheering on Team USA in Paris.
That was a truly spectacular performance by O'keefe. what a fantastic runner

Probably too late, but Jessica McClain has been impressive closing in on third. I'll admit I've never heard of her- 2:29 PR
It’s Jessica Tonn, former Stanford standout and Brooks Beast, who runs under her married name. Go Jess!
Who is Dakota Lindwurm? Pretty cool that a name I’ve never heard of made it!!
Did O'Keeffe really run a 6:30 final mile? If so, that must have been pure pain
Natosha Rogers died massively, which was obvious based on her interviews. Clearly underestimated the distance.
I know letsrun is filled with so much vitriol but can I say something that hurts but is true-
How is Sara Hall so good at the marathon and never delivers when it actually matters? Time and time again man

She was ranked #10 on LetsRun's list of 11 long shots.

If true ASICS should drop Young immediately and get their money back. Well, don't give Young any Trials bonuses and wait until after the Olympics before firing him.

2:26 at 41 in those conditions is a pretty incredible performance.
