It's now about surviving to the finish and staying in top 3.
5:07 22nd mile.! 5:17 for Korir so their gap is getting better but 2:08:10 might be gone. Estimated finish is 2:08:04.
Fiona O'Keefe pushing pace in women's race at mile 18 and looks like a rabbit.

The craziest thing is Caroline Rotich the 2015 Boston Marathon champ is in the field and somehow none of the media realized it. She's in the lead pack.
At mile 20, Young, Panning, and Mantz have 8 seconds on Leonard Korir. So while the top 3 looks wrapped up a ton could still happen. Then 7 seconds to Elkanah Kibet (but who ran a 5:02 mile). Further 30 seconds to Nathan Martin. So likely a battle of 4 now on the men's side.

At mile 18 Clayton Young was pumping his arms to the crowd. Clear top 3 on men's side.
Women have 11 together at mile 15. Rogers has been dropped.

17th mile was 4:44 and the increase dropped Galen Rupp who is 5 second back .

10 guys at halfway in 64:07. Mekonen, Mantz, Rupp, Korir, Colley, Young, Kipchirchir, Kibet, Martin. Martin probaby the biggest surprise with Colley.
Then 4 seconds to CJ.
So give us your predictions how you think this plays out?

Guy next to me on press truck says Scott Fauble just stopped. I said are you sure it was him. He said 75%.
He stopped for 15 seconds then started running again. Threw up. More fueling issues.
He lost over 30 seconds that mile according to the tracker.
