It goes both ways, there are lots of US born athletes who for whatever reason are able to compete at the Olympics for other countries. About half of the last softball team for Mexico at the Olympics were born in the US, same for their women's soccer team.

Yeah that’s a bummer. Really was rooting for either her or Keira to do it this time. Their last real chance for sure. Although I guess Meb won’t the trials in 2:09 low in 2012 when he was 40+ or whatever and Abdi did it in 2021 (but neither of them are Abdi level or Meb level).

CJ Albertson missed the team by only 10 seconds. The guy always runs 2:10 when it matters, and 2:11 when it doesn't. Too bad 2:10 just wasn't quite good enough today.

Lenny Korir is the man. Imagine wanting to give yourself a better life to the point you serve in your new country's military proudly and still getting dogged by people. Proud of all 3 of our men who will represent the US in Paris.
