I might catch flack for this but maybe she should focus on the 10,000 sooner rather than later. She beat Natosha Rogers/ran faster than Rogers’s PB in her only 10k in the last few years, and there’s less depth at the top of the U.S. women’s 10k. FWIW her 30:48 is her highest World Athletics points score outdoors.
No flack. She would have run 10k at usatf were it not for the issue with world standard. I think you'll still see her run 1500 thru 10k, but '24 focus will be 10k. Post '24, you may even see some road racing and a 1/2. Running shorter stuff keeps speed and avoids boredom.
Henes seems to be running a bit slower than her indoors / spring results.
Huge result for Agate Caune - 8:39 at 18 years old.
Cameron Myers 3:33 as well
Great job by McSweyn.
This time it was an all out effort by Jakob. Well done!
Seemed like the pacers was a bit ho hard on the gas, or Ingebrigtsen was a bit defensive. 3.27.14 nonetheless.
Huge PR for Cam Myers 3:33.26
Myers got the Worlds QT 3:33.26

Incredible considering Myers only just turned 17..

So the rumor was true that Mcsweyn is pacing ?
Yeah that baffled me, I missed the commentary on it. Couldn't understand why he was right behind the pacers while Jakob languished back.

Except that it wasn’t a rumor.
He was listed as a pacemaker in the official entry list on the DL Silesia website.
Ireland having a hell of a weekend for National records on Men and Women's sides
And you get a placard! And you get a placard! And you get a placard! People are peaking at the right time🔥
Andrew Coscoran 3:30.42 is the surprise of the race for me. He’d been winning races but now he’s got the commensurate time.
Cameron Myers 3:33.26 at 17 years old is incredible.
Sam Prakel 3:40 😬

Under 18 world record
These WR attempts with so many pacers and pacing lights feel so artificial.

Dude, he’s in the middle of heavy miles. In 4 weeks , he will break 3:27
Stewy is the man...that was a hard 1200 and he had some gas at the end. hopeful he is rounding back into sub 3:30 shape.
What a guy to do that. Im guessing there isn't anybody more well liked than him on the circuit.

To be fair, it’s not surprising there are bunch of meet records since this is what, its second year?
