Letsrun.com did not even mention the guy who was in top 4 three years in a raw at NCAA as potential podium finisher in their preview? but you mention a guy like Drew hunter and others who have never finished higher than Futsum Zienasellassie in cross country at NCAA? I think Futsum will be in top 7 and show you how good he is at cross country races.

They also did not mention a guy in the top 5 at USATF XC last year who recently ran 46 something for 10 miles on the road. I guess the field is just really strong this year, they don't have space to mention everyone who signs up.

Hehir is mentioned in the preview. You might have been misled because there is a capsule summary at the beginning of the article and more detailed discussion of each race below.

Martin is mentioned in the preview but for just for fact, he never beat futsum in cross country at NCAA. However, Martin is a very good runner and he might actually be in top 5 this saturday.

Futsum only ran 63:10 in Houston, and that was his best race in a couple years. ran 13:30s in 2017 and only 13:47 in 2018

not exactly stats you want for a 10k XC meet

but hey, let him prove me wrong.

May be you should have looked to his 10km spilit on that half marathon but hey, as you said may be it is time he proves one of us wrong.

I comprehend that the Las Vegas bookies (who, of course, pay more attention to the USA World XC Trials than to the minor sport of football, and its unpopular Super Bowl) would count out Drew Hunter's chances of making the Worlds team because he a) hasn't run an XC race since his 5k high school Footlocker victory in 2015, b) hasn't raced since last summer, c) has been injured, and d) has focused upon the 1500/mile as a pro. I'm not confident or arrogant or some would insist insane enough to predict a great outcome for him on Saturday, but I would find it fun if he made the US squad for the Worlds because he'd be following in his father's footsteps. Marc twice made the US team and ran in the World XC Championships.

Rowbury has texted Paul Swangard saying she doesn't think she can win the race but she thinks she can make the team.

They also said Emily Infeld - the defending champ - just had surgery of some sort and is on the mend.

62 degrees. 6 mph wind. Overcast. Women are obviously all wearing shorts.

Huddle goes to the lead early. She's making it honest 2:30 into it. Gappign the field. Frerichs following.
