I agree, even with low humidity. Obviously still a fast course overall... but a big difference if the last half of the race is 75deg vs typical 65deg... with zero shade.

It looks like start time is 6:30a, sunrise is 7:07a... wish they could start even earlier.

Maybe one of those flying drone cameras from last year can hover over KennyB's head to keep him cool. That would one-up Alberto's 17 hat changes.

They let Farah run only half the race for something like 500k pounds. That is a lot of money to pay for a known-beforehand DNF.

My guess is that this is about money. He was so close in Berlin to getting the record. There is a lot of money up for grabs if you break it. Dubai is a fast course. If he gets the right pacers and weather conditions are favorable, then he has a good chance to break it and collect both $200k for winning, plus the WR premium. He would be wise to break it by a small margin so that he gets another chance to lower it later. He could probably care less about the GOAT discussions, or about the Nike sub-2 project. This is about making money while he still can! He is not getting any younger. Good luck to gim!

Farah is not really that great a 10000m runner. He has a fast kick but so does Bekele. Go watch the 2013 Great North Run.

Bekele is surely in better form now than he was then. He can beat Farah if it comes down to a kick but more likely, Bekele will just run the wheels off of Farah and everyone else from the gun.
