Honestly, I am skeptical that Mo could break 1:44 even around the time he ran 3:28

Yeah, I don't see Mo getting very far under 1:45, as I don't see Rupp getting far under 1:46.5. Webb was fast from the get-go; had leg speed and built strength and stamina over the years. Mo and Rupp seemed to have refined themselves in the opposite direction.

Mo has always reminded me of Komen; a 3k/5k guy who sharpened his fitness to the point to push (or for Mo: get pushed) below sub-3:30.

How many HUMANS?
