and yes, the guy saying ches is in over his head has not been paying attention to distance running the past couple of years, apparently. Ches will do just fine. just fine might be 6th place and 3:54, but that would still be just fine for Ches.

I'll find out who the pacemarkers are today. I imagine Gregorek is racing. They probably want to get locals to buy tickets. Race officials have told methey like to put locals/ Columbia guys in there to sell tickets. Get mom, dad and the boys to alll pay. At MSG, it seemed as if half the fans were there for the HS 4 x 800.

Willis is on at the moment and will win , Centro a step behind, the rest is up for grabs with one of its best fields ever.
Is a Wanamaker mile as long as a full mile?
OK, OK. Bernard Lagat at 40 is a long shot to win his ninth Wanamaker Mile on Saturday. But he's a lock to beat Eamonn Coghlan's M40 mile world record of 3:58.15.
Also, I've read that Millrose will have 1500 phototimer set, since Bernard is likely to get Anthony Whiteman's 1500 WR of 3:44.12.
