Why the hell is nobody talking about Bekele and Kipchoge?

Side question: is Atsede Baysa in or out?

Hasn't anyone considered the possibility that it might be a tactical race between these two? I'm not sure Bekele is confident enough to go for it when Kipchoge is there. No doubt Bekele would run an awesome race in Berlin with personal pacemakers, but having Kipchoge in the race might ruin the hopes for a good time.

Maybe he was on blood transfusions which were perfectly legal back then? That could have been that "program".

Fact ist, we don't know - and for all we know, Shorter could have had blood transfusions as well - again, perfectly legal back then.

Just because Lance was treated by dope doctor ferrari, and just because all his teammates says he used, and just because there is documented evidence that he was on drugs, does not mean he was on drugs

Let's hope both (and maybe event the others) are full of confidence. After all, all of Kenenisa and Kipchoge's marathons were good ones.

1. That documented evidence is available to the public in LA's case. In Cierpinski's case, we have to believe Werner Franke (who has a sketchy reputation to say the least).

2. LA publicly admitted to doping. Cierpinski has always denied doping.

Big differences.

Kinda says something, no? Hey, it'll great if Bekele or Kipchoge breaks 2:04, but I just have this feeling the winner is going to be someone like Wesley Korir who lays off the early pace, runs his own race and finishes right around 2:06. Curious to see what the LRC preview has to say.
