Exciting race but I think London would be better without rabbits. I think it's very hard to get the WR there. It's more likely to happen in Dubai or Berlin. I say let them have it and stage a traditional race in London like NYC and Boston.
Has Berlin focused on getting the women's record? I bet Keitany could pick up time there.

We are not too far off from you guys.
These boys are from my neck of the woods. We aren't too far apart. They are from Nyandarua and I am from Laikipia ....not very far from Rumuruti.
Central has great talent too. A lot of it.
Mary Wacera Ngugi is quite good at the half and so is Veronica Nyaruai to some extent .
Nyahururu and Nyeri are the 'iten' of running outside Iten and Eld.
Kipchoge and Kipsang remain the men but I think Wanjiru, Karoki and Kamworor are the heirs apparent when these guys retire.
We are in good hands as a country.

Seems like Boston had the higher quality marathoners. These runners are B-level. Barely broke 2:06 on a flat course, pacers, and no wind??

HA! I'm neither Rift Valley nor Mt. Kenyal, therefore a true Kenyan neutral 😆 I however think the competition between them is very healthy and good for the country. Hope we'll see a new Sammy or John Ngugi. Oh, and I worked with wildlife in Laikipia some years ago, so I know Rumuruti very well. It's the confluence of both communities. Very beautiful county.

Yes, my home is not very far from Nyahururu town. Ngugi still remains the king as well as Wanjiru (Sammy Kamau) whose potential we might never know.
Mt. Kenya is coming up and with all these athletes popping up from this region, there will be a new generation of young men and women from this area.
Mary, 7 seconds behind Scott Overall. He almost got chicked.
Guy just interviewed is doing his 302nd marathon today and his 31st London. Respect!
Bekele definitely lost ground here. Improve the 4x elite drinks stations and you can cut 30s+ I reckon
But that was his fault - his station is clearly numbered and he should get in line way before it.
