Cuboid Bone and Rupp- Doctors, Podiatrist comment?

Had this happen twice. It's pretty scary the first time it happens. Makes you stop but quick.

So I was in the middle of my workout today when my left foot started hurting (neuroma not cuboid) and I realized "hey, I didn't ever see how the Rupp thread was progressing!" So I come home, (the one I live in) and see this...pretty entertaining. So to answer the person who needs clarification, no I didn't limp "home", I limped to the finish line, then I went to the med tent.

What he did was perfectly acceptable. "Limped home"/"struggled home" etc. are all common expressions that have a contextual meaning that is clear the majority of readers.

Maybe you are arguing that people should avoid all expressions of this nature such as "tore it up", "blasted it", etc. In which case I suppose we shall agree to disagree.

I'd personally say "limped home" and knew what Gary was saying. Maybe it's a dialect thing.

Btw, I've popped my cuboid out of place- one awkward step on uneven grass. Suffered with it out-of-place for 2 weeks, and then one day it popped back into place- instant relief. However, it messed up my peroneals, which I then suffered with (along with hip issues, probably caused by the unstable foot) for 3 yrs. Lots of therapy, exercises, shoes, insoles, pads, tape, etc.. Lets hope there's no longterm damage for Rupp (if it indeed happened).

No, the trolls who claimed to speak for GaryB are completely unacceptable. They are all very childish. GaryB is not much better. He doesn't understand the difference between composing a sentence--which he seems capable of--and choice of words.

In my opinion, Rupp didn't have cuboid symptoms. He will prove this by running without this issue in his next race.

As a chiropractic intern it is very likely to misalign any of the bones in the foot, most likely all distance runners have some minor misalignments due to the repetitive pounding of everyday training.

When they say "popped out" they are referring to a minor misalignment not a gross dislocation of the bone, if that happened there is no way he would be able to run for quite some time. Minor misalignments of the cuboid would definitely effect the pronation and supination of the foot though and could be pretty painful, for the sake of Rupp's health it's probably a good thing he got it adjusted as to not put abnormal stress on his foot since proper unlocking of the foot when it hits the ground is one of the most important ways our body disperses the ground reaction forces.

Why don't you "Bring It Home", get over yourself and your literal interpretation. And yes it means Finish, End, Complete or Cease with your comments.

Its a joke you call yourself an "intern" like chrio's are real "doctors", go do some "unlocking" of your brain champ and while your there have a look where pronation and supination occur in the foot and what role the cuboid plays in that. Your a disgrace to healthcare.
