Cool!
I wish they would bring that same relay to the Penn Relays and add OTC Centro, Wheating, Greer and Mudler.

This and a DMR should be an Oly event
NY/NJ have some depth. Who would you pick?
Andrews
Boylan-Pett
Brown
Everett
Gagnon
Merber
Murray
Rutt
I think (with no knowledge of health or workouts) I would go with:
Andrews
Gagnon
Murray
Rutt
oh yeah, cuz centro would totally race with otc guys. not
SHIT YEAH!
First of all the record is soft and not considered relevent. I'm interested in how the World Relay Championships turn out later this year.
Any predictions of times for both teams?
C'mon, nobody runs 4 x 800s indoors.
At the same time, it is good for the sort to say "World Record" and a race like this creates a lot of interest. Go for it Boys!

Well two very good professional teams are about to and we should be embracing it not bashing it. These two clubs are breaking the mold in terms of what has been happening with middle distance clubs and we should all love what they are doing.!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELL NO.
I think this is great for the sport, it gives extra purpose to the meet. This is also being held in NYC so if this was properly marketed, they should fill the seats. For a city that houses 9-10million and swells to upwards of 14milllion for work, they should have 0 problem getting 500 people there.
We need more promotions for these meets!

The meet is in Boston and is always sold out.
Makes you wonder who would win a 4x8 between all the US groups? How would OTC Elite do?
Brooks Beasts (Symmonds, Scherer, Wieczorek, Loxsom) vs. NYNJ Track Club

We thought the same thing.
The meet did reach out to OTC but they are unlikely to race:

Robby Andrews: 1:44.71
Mike Rutt: 1:45.08
Brian Gagnon: 1:45.45
Tevan Everett: 1:46.02
Total: 7:01.26
Brooks Beasts:
Matt Scherer – 1:46.11
Mark Wieczorek – 1:45.36
Casimir Loxsom – 1:45.28
Nick Symmonds – 1:42.95
Total: 6:59.70

Symmonds has 1.76 seconds on the second-fastest guy, while everyone but Symmonds is separated by 1.40 seconds. Totally friggin' rad, man, totally rad.
Hey LetsRun, why do you guys always leave Jock out of your discussion for an OTC team?? I believe he's faster than Greer. He's a solid 1:44 guy with loads of upside
Hell Yes....
They are exciting events at Penn Relays, Drake, etc... They would be great events at the Olys also. Gives guys who didn't make the individual event, run.

WHy? Because he's not listed as one of their athletes:
http://www.runnerspace.com/OTCeliteShouldn't they remove sam chelanga from that list? is there another list of athletes?
russell brown has run 1:45.83
