Why isn’t Teg running the two-mile?
Why isn’t Teg running the two-mile?
2:03 first 800? I thought they wanted 802 for 2 miles?

Can't believe TaLou won the 100 and SAFP and Richardson ran so poorly.
as someone said, not an upset, couldnt expect much from richardson in pro debut. five days til we see divine in lausanne.
Looks like Jeff Fishback's 57 year old facility record in the 2 mile is GOING DOWN
I actually did the exact same thing haha, props to NBC for the change!
2 mile is on and Jenkins straight to the back. Chelimo about 4th with 4 1/2 laps to go.
Distance races are for commercials. At least there’s PIP
4:04 1/2 way. Kibet picked it up at 800 and now is motoring. Windy comments continue.
McSweyn with the arm warmers in 75F... Kipchoge style!

Ok for the 2 mile. If Barega doesn't got with the pace (8;02 pace) everyone is going toirate. Apparently, he's the only one that wanted a hot pace so some people were telling JG behind the scenes they'd be irate if he doesn't go for it.
Sub 7:30 for 3000 is done often by the top 5000 guys. Just another 200 and odd meters in 30 seconds or so. Surprised so far only one person has ever ran a sub 8 minutes for 2 miles.
The teen Barega 6:05 with 2 to go. 3 seconds lead over Cheptegai.
Berega is taking this race by the balls. Chelimo, will he get the American record for 2 miles?

Why isn't Josh Kerr in this? A 3:33 1500 not good enough to get him an invite in a 17 man field for an American based runner?
Who is his sponsor? That is the answer to your question.
But they let Nick Willis in? Is there any chance that Willis doesn’t get DFL? He’ll be battling Centro for that spot in the back.
What a finish.
Last lap Cheptegei hunted down Barega with Chelimo right there also. Great finish!
Paul Chelimo!

There is a severe storm warning that is covering the clock on my local NBC channel, this is nonsense.
I'm guessing you're a fellow Minnesotan. So annoying.
No, Chicago area. Stormy day in the Midwest.
Wow, amazing finish. Chelimo left it a little bit late but Cheptegei was still able to kick in the end !
PC . I was about to curse him out for running a crap race. But that was a nice kick
Barega going hard in close to 80 degree weather. His tactics are suspect, very talented. But suspect.
Do the other girls offer or accept congrats from Semenya after her win? We will know in 2 minutes.
