Third place in the DL final is pretty awesome for a guy who ran his first steeple less than 10 months ago. Yes, depleted field and all that, but he was third on the day and he has an absolute weapon of a final 100. He could medal with that, not gold, but definitely a minor medal

I really don't like these crazy Wiley fans. You should learn more about the sport before you post a bunch of nonsense.
They are not Wiley fans, they are Tuohy fans who are just trolling. This is the same kind of posts we saw for the past two years regarding Tuohy. Speculation of her breaking Simpson's 3:59.9, running under 14:45, etc. All the Tuohy fans did was pi$ everyone off and make Tuohy's popularity take a plunge. They are just doing the same thing to try to make Tuohy's fellow collegiates look bad.
I am a huge Wiley fan and I have no problem in saying she had no business being in this race. Neither did Johnson and certainly not McGee. Taking out the Americans, everyone in the field has run in the 3:57s except for one at 3:58.01. 3:59 and 4:00 runners did not belong on the track today.
McGee had every business being in that race. She ran a bunch of DL races in Europe and got enough points to make the DL final. That’s how the DL works.
All you complaining about US coverage, can't you just vpn to a feed in Europe? If you understand German, the Swiss feed is very good. The only commercial they cut out to was during the men's steeple and it was like only for about a minute. The announcers are pretty experienced as well.

"If you understand German". Lmao. You're talking to Americans. On average they know less than one language.
Lots of viewers in this thread who'd benefit from getting a VPN and watching on NRK.
The commentary in Norwegian may sound unintelligible apart from names, but you get the whole production (with all its random camera angles and replays) uninterrupted without commercial breaks.
NASCAR does a split screen called “Side-By-Side” with a picture in picture split screen deal during commercial breaks. This should be the minimum expectation for distance events if they’re going to cut to commercial or field events.

Get a VPN and watch the world feed or the BBC. English commentary, proper coverage

Next you'll tell me that Elizabeth Swaney "earned" her way into the Olympics and deserved to be there.
