I don't understand why this website is so fixated on where people were born. From the women's preview: "It’s also a homegrown lineup as all five members of Team USA were born on American soil (compared to just one on the men’s side)."

This just seems superfluous. The teams are made up of Americans. I am proud of every team member for representing their country and running times fast enough to be there. What is the point of even writing that line? It has zero impact on how I view the runners that will be competing for Team USA. They are all Americans. Period.

Putting aside any sort of PED discussion, should Lagat break Geb's 61:09 as a master, he would have to be among the greatest regarding range. 3:26 1500 and lets say a sub 61 half at age 43 shows incredible range. Maybe even better than Farah.

Exactly, training partners Chiki Perez and Camilo Santiago are running for Spain, and with slower 10K and 5K PBs they've ran 64 mins half marathon.

I think Abadia could run even faster than the 61 minutes that Ben Connor from UK ran in Barcelona.

You have to take it into consideration. However, word on the street, Kam is in ridiculous shape. Arrived earlier in the day, looks so fit and in the zone. He's after that WR.

Not sure where you got this information, but as someone very close to the source, you're completely false. Perhaps trolling? He may have dipped down to 1-2 at 4:45, but in no way have any of his "big" tempos averaged 4:45. Perhaps that's not what you meant.

Just a typo, relax. Read again, i meant they stand less of a chance against Kam than Rupp. Rupp is better than Moen or Jake, but not with that much as you might believe. However, he was the only chance for USA to get a top 5 this year.

Well,

I would say Rupp is more of a no name than Moen.

With Rupp, much of the US/Canada running world + some more spectators know of him (about 5,000,000), less so in Europe (so about another 3,000,000), and then some in Japan (about 1,000,000), with another 1,000,000 around the world. Total 10,000,000

With Moen, I would say the hard core running community knows of him in the US, so about 100,000, many more in Europe know of him, (likely 8,000,000), but in Japan, he's a hit...probably 20,000,000 know of him.

Clearly, its no contest. Rupp is the no name comparatively.

Kamworor will lose this year. I do not think he is in the same shape as when he won last year.

Becasue the transfer of allegiances is a big topic with the IAAF right now. Are you fine with the African born athletes that still live in Africa competing for European countries? The American athletes don't fit that criteria but it's a big topic in the sport.

If someone comes over at age 5, I think most are fine with it. Think Leo Manzano.

If they come over in HS, nearly everyone has no problem.

But what if they came over last year.? What if Kamworor joined WCAP and tried to run for the US next year? Still kosher?

You've provided no proof and you've also asked questions in your own threads about whether it was true or not so we figure you are a troll.

We have written USATF just to make sure. And they just wrote back. You are correct. Jordan Hasay has pulled out of the race.

On a separate note, the hourly forecast for Valencia is now up. It indeed is expected to be very windy at race time. Women's race is at 5:05 pm local and men at 5:30 pm local. Winds are expected to be 24 mph at that time.

False. We still were the first entity to break this story to the World.

The facts are we've NEVER had a problem interviewing Mo Farah or Centro. Those big personalities always give great interviews. For some reason, Rupp and Salazar take everything personally and try to avoid us. No biggie.

What would hurt the credibility of this site is if we started being a PR firm for the shoe companies so we could get access. The die-hards fans of the sport come to LetRun every day to get a no-holds barred analysis.
