Dude from Sandnes's going 3:48 mile this year, no question. He's a little over-aged, 18 now but turning 19 in September.

link? ive never heard of him
He ran 4:09 with 2:01 last 800 then doubled back for 9:00 3200 with 60-second last lap. He seems to race to win instead of times and never runs the 800(he did a 1:59 as a debut 2 hours before a 9:10 3200) so who knows what he can do.
One of next years top NCAA freshman 1500m runners could be coming from Princeton! Nuff said and remember this post!
Anyone ever heard of Cole Hocker?? You know, the guy who finished 2nd in his first national xc meet ever and proceeded to win footlocker nationals?? A footlocker champ who is committed to Oregon is destined to go sub 4. Also he split 4:05.00 in the DMR last year at NBN for what it’s worth.
Don't forget Benjamin Dover of Alabama
and
Richard "Dicky" Hertz from HI

Relay splits can not be used or counted in any record.

but they can help us know if someone has a chance at breaking 4
Stating an obvious fact is insulting to the reader. The thread is about making predictions so stating information adds to the credibility of a prediction. If a kid runs 3:58 on a DMR split, he would be in the running to break 4 even if his mile PR is currently 4:05.
Apparently, you can run 3:31 the same year your best 800 is 1:52 (pr 1:49.40 in 2017).

Grant fisher graduated HS with an 800 PR of 1:55 and mile of 3:59.
What about girls and 4:35? Any girls have a chance at that apart from Tuohy who ran 4:33 recently?
I think Mary Cain's record is 4:24, so there must be some girls that are capable of breaking 4:35.
Roisin Willis. She ran 2:06 last weekend and has a 17:48 XC PR. I would put her in the 4:35-4:40 range.
Culpepper is the only junior on that 4:09 list, the kid seems to PR every time he steps on the track, I'd say senior year sub 4 and low 4's this spring. Sprout is a superstar junior but doesn't have the wheels Culpepper does with a 51s 400m speed. Culpepper's range is unmatched with 14:45 XC 5k pr

She is a FRESHMAN. Don't be creepy. She got several years to break the record, but this year is definitely to early for her (she "only" ran 4:57 in December).
Her range is incredible - 13 flat 100m speed, 2:06 800m speed endurance and 17:48 aerobic powerhouse in XC. Once she specializes she will become world class in whatever she chooses.

what are you talking about bro
anyways, the girls field for milers is STACKED this year. don't forget defending indoor national champ Katelyn Hart, she has not made her indoor debut this season but maybe she will try to defend her title. hart vs starliper vs tuohy could you imagine!
Creepy? I thought I was purely fact based and then realistic in my estimate of her breaking 4:40.
payamps range is unmatched, with a 1:20, 2:25, 4:08 , sub 9. noone has his speed.

nick foster has run 1:53/4:05/8:54
600-2 mile is not big range. Sure he is fast, but he barely broke 15:50 for the 5k. I would have to go with Culpepper on best range with the 51-14:45 but doesn't look like Payamps has run an open 400
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
