I’ll start. Ole Miss.
That's weird.
I was the 2nd best runner in FL and got four full scholarship offers.
Why didn't Ole Miss let the #1 runner in MS walk-on?

Because he was a ‘runner.’
New Jersey
Oregon, Arkansas, Iowa State, Furman, Alabama.
Which school did you choose? What was your PR?
Dartmouth and Yale
Alabama

I’m just assuming that the #1 runner in Mississippi can’t walk-on because the walk-on standard at Ole Miss is 9:18 and sub 9:40 guys are rare in Mississippi.

Furman is not a state school and South Carolina has one of the best runners in the country.

Neither are state schools and both probably recruit the best runners in their state based on their times.
I think they have all been named.
Montana.
The top returning track runner in the 3200 for nj ran 8:50 and like 4:10 name a school that wouldn’t take him
NAU
UTEP
Technically, a school that offers you a scholarship is not allowing you to walk on (you can’t be a walk-on if you are on scholarship). So I’d say that most schools would not allow the best runner in their state to walk on.

Camren Fischer(Arkansas) is a two time Footlocker qualifier. He could certainly walk on.
Can take Nevada off the list. Reno is finally getting an XC team. UNLV still rebelling.
Of course they would allow them to walk on. Your statement is idiotic. They get offered a scholarship and decline because they receive an academic scholarship. The coach is overjoyed and allows the top kid to walk on. The question isn’t if they walked on, it’s if they would be allowed to walk on.
They have only 1 Arkansan on the team so most years the statement is true.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
