OMG, Camille is still in the race and Courtney is gone! LRC is not going to like this...... Wasn't Camille supposed to be washed up?

relax man...we're just like 9 hours into a 24hr race. plenty of time for Kostelnick to catch everybody.
jk, don't think he will. but I hope no more people DNF, it would be cool to see how it all plays out in the 24th hour.

Also Camille hasn’t raced in awhile so legs are probably fresh while Courtney did Tahoo 200 in sept and Big Backyard/Last man standing ultra in October (where she ran 279 miles) so legs probably fatigued. Not completely surprised by this.

Courtney will be on the front of the NY Times sports section tomorrow morning. So she has that going for her. Which is nice.

Sage has his plant-based pillow to cry on while the carnivores tear up the track.

Mmmh, Yiannis Kouros ran 188 miles on track with a plant based diet.

He's in Hong Kong!!!!!!
I can't figure out how to get all the splits from the provided tracker, so I'll just post some current updates so we can come check these in a few hours to see how paces change.
Zach Bitter at 77.3mi in 10h13min (7.93 min/mi)
Camille 76.3
Patrick R 74.3 (8.25 min/mi)
Jacob J 72.3
Zach Gingerich 70.1 (8.75 min/mi)
Pete K 66.6 (9.2 min/mi)
all at same time, 10h13min. give or take a minute but whatever
not sure if all these people are aiming for 24hr, especially Zach G and Jacob J. I skipped a few people btw.
for reference, 8:00/mi for 24hr is 180 miles (WR 188 miles)
8:30/mi is 169 miles (172 is the american record, I think)
9:00/mi is 160 miles (161 is the womens WR, 155 is AR)
if kostelnick is already behind 9min pace, he either had some stomach issues early and took breaks or he is already totally out of the race.

Zach Bitter does not do a carnivore diet if that's what you're implying.

He is not afraid of a good steak, and neither is Camille.
The Records tab shows Connie Gardner with US 50K F55-59 Track record of 4:37:43 (breaking 4:43:55).
Elsewhere I hear she has now also taken the US 100K F55-59 Track record with 9:59:09.
Camille has one of the most awkward gaits I've ever seen.

Looks like he hasn't raced in the US since he ran 550 miles in 6 days at age 57 five years ago.

She has broken everything twice and is still smashing it.
If I was a massage/PT I would work on her free just to see her straighten out.
if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

averaged 3:31 for the three marathons she has covered so far.
