Is it to soon to start doing track workouts? My season starts in February and I will be doing the 800 and 1600. I started training for track this week. I will still of course do easy runs, a long run, tempos, hills, fartleks etc, but is a track workout 1x a week or every other week going to help me, or will it damage my season? The types of workouts I am talking about are more shorter intervals since I am doing the 800 and 1600 (running distances of 200-600 meters in ladders, or repeats, I may also do an 800-1600 in the ladder once im in better fitness)
