You are going to LOVE MISSOURI.
Just kidding.
Make the most out of every job and assignment you get and it can be the best time of your life. Yes, even basic training.

I officially ETS'd less than 2 weeks ago. Some general advice:
- The Army isn't what you think it is. Go ahead and completely remove any and all expectations you have placed on the Army now, and that will help you adjust to the heaping pile of b******t you're force fed every day.
- It's gonna get COLD in Missouri come November. If you're from a warmer climate like the South it's gonna be tough, but not impossible.
- Don't quit.
- Don't be a b***h.
- Don't expect to be deployed.
- Don't expect to actually do your job.
- Don't drink and drive.
- Get some kind of college done while you're in. CLEP classes, online classes, whatever. Don't be content with leaving the Army with the same education level you came in with.
Good luck.

You mean stay in the barracks til after Reveille/Retreat is over so you won't have to stop on the way to the mess hall.
Update: it's my first time ever flying and my first time ever leaving New England (I'm from Central Massachusetts) and I'm currently in Chicago. Had to run off my first flight to get to my second one into St. Louis. Some guy in the urinal next to me in my precious free time was spanking his meat while I was taking a leak. I could tell from the odd almost moaning noises this guy made as his right arm moved back and forth... stay classy Chicago...
Cool. I live 20 miles from o’hare. Why don’t you swing on by and we can grab a couple of skis before your flight out
