Well one of these 4 teams will definitely lose two in a row and not playing after tomorrow.

It's A (Atlanta) with a bye, B (Brewers)vs C (Cubs), and D (Denver) vs E (Los Angeles), with the BC-loser playing the DE-loser (in a game hosted by BC-loser) for the right to play the BC-winner, while the DE-winner gets home-field advantage over A.

At least, I think that's how it is.

This is not technically "post-season", but the OT of the regular season. These games count for batting races, etc.

I too am rooting for the Brewers & Dodgers!!

Rojo, you can thank ESPN for the daytime timing. Nothing's allowed to interfere with their sacred Monday Night Football, so these games have to happen earlier.

It's pathetic and despicable that they relegate championship baseball out of subservience to regular season football.

Chiefs vs. Broncos is way more important than these chubby guys swinging a stick, thanks. They made the right choice.

Yeah, it's a shame the networks didn't take into account games that aren't even on the schedule. Short-sighted fools. What "job" do you have that's keeping you from watching the games?

I agree, no reason why they couldn't schedule the games for after Chiefs/Broncos, like at 3am eastern time.

For me, it's Brewers and Dodgers.

Do we have to use the word "disgrace" and call the TV execs "greedy". (per your tweet) They're doing whatever any TV exec would do, maximize the value of their investment.

Having said that MLB should have written it in the contract it that MLB not ESPN determines when the games are played. The fans and MLB are being shortchanged by ESPN which is putting the game now so it doesn't go up against Monday Night Football.

Since the losing team has to play in a wild-card game tomorrow in a different city, I don't think the players would want to play a night game. They have to travel tonight. Imagine playing a game until 10:00 Pacific time, then flying to Chicago for an elimination game the next day. I think that practical reality affects the schedule more than any tv consideration.

The game started at 1 pm local.

And why would it be that the only people who can't get there on time are people sitting the upper deck?

Remember the Dodgers already squeezed fans for every penny they thought they could for the play-off off games the Dodgers knew they were playing. So what you have here are the people who didn't get the real play-off tickets. Blame the greedy owners for that.

Theyre already in the playoffs, so this is a whatever game.
