Lol, Man U should be happy with the Champions League this season.

...since we beat Man U three months ago? SEA-GULLS! SEA-GULLS!
Anyone else think it's kind of cool Jon's dad posts on the forums. He and Jon went to the game today so it has to be one of them who started the thread.
Jose is a dead man walking.
It might be time for the special one to retire.
Anytime ManU loses it's a great day!
For some reason with Jose, he gets terminated in every third season of the club he is coaching. I think his philosophy of coaching runs it course with players, and due to his combative nature, his actions become unbearable at the club.
chelsea
real madrid
chelsea
Man-U
( I didn't include inter because he left that job to coach Real Madrid.)
Also, his other main problem is that he never really played the game. He played for a couple of seasons, but he sucked, and got into coaching, so I think he has a complex because of it. He feels that tactics and systems are more important than the player, which is why great, great players regress under him. He isn't an Ancelotti, or a Pep, or a Zinedine or a Benetiz. Those coaches were great as players, so they understand the need for putting players in a system where they can perform at a top level. They can relate to players. Mourinho can't and never will. And when things go wrong he blames players and not his tactics.
Also his style of play is antiquated, and has been outdated for quite some time. It's all about pressing and high lines to constantly get the ball and attack. Jose still wants his teams to just sit back and counter, basically inviting pressure.
He will be sacked before the season is over with, and Zinedine will take his place. Zinedine has already stated that he wants to coach Man-u

I agree, his magic has worn off. The game has passed him by. Any large club would be unwise to sign him at this point.
Agree with a number of points in this post. But Rafa Benitez was not a great player. He was injured early in his career and played for a couple of lower division teams in Spain. Like Mourinho, he got into coaching very early on (around 26-27 I think).
Right. He started with Real Madrid, and his future was bright. He had major talent, which is my point. He didn't suck. Jose sucked. Benetiz had great skill as a defender, and understood the science of the game as a player, which is why he has great tactics. Coaching Hazard, Oscar, Mata and Moses all at the same time at chelsea was a thing of beauty.
Alex Ferguson, quite possibly the greatest football coach of all time, never played out of the Scotland and only played for the national team a few times. I don't think there is much weight to the idea that a great football coach must have been a great player.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
