Measure routes on mapmyrun, log with pen and paper on a printed blank calendar. It's old school, but I like looking through the past logs at the little things that show passage of time -- changes in my handwriting, what I information I logged, how I coded it, etc.
I work with big computer data in my day job, so the simplicity and personality of the handwritten log feels special. I sound like I'm selling artisanal hipster toast or something, but it's true.
I like it, wouldn't do it myself, but I like it. There is something therapeutic about handwriting stuff down.
The only downside of that to me would be difficulty searching for when I last ran a particular route. That's what I like about my Excel spreadsheet, the ability to do a quick search.
Beyond excel sheets, I use Garmin Connect and Strava. Ditched MapMyRun when they couldn't take my uploads from my new watch without being linked directly to my GC account.
Also still using the unsupported Garmin TrainingCenter standalone software on my laptop. I dislike being beholden to having an internet connection to see how my training is going.
