Alexi has her niche all figured out. She’s definitely good looking, but not in the same way that, say, Emma Coburn or some Instagram fitness model is. So that’s a plus for her in terms of marketability—high school and college girls love her because she seems more relatable and less intimidating than some extraordinarily hot chick who models yoga pants or whatever. She’s someone that they could also realistically be. Also why she doesn’t really have a huge male fan base. Nothing wrong with any of that at all, that’s just how marketing works.
I do have to wonder though, how long her “manic pixie dream girl” act will last. Dancing awkwardly around and screaming “OMG that’s so magical!” at every mundane thing might work for you in your 20s, but it’s hard for anyone to still seem cool doing that into their 30s, even if you have a young female fan base.
Anyway, I say she runs 2:31.
