The VAST majority of athletes under Metcalf were/are not pushing for him to be fired / resign.
-meaning a vocal minority is leading this charge
-evident in the articles provided, the vocal athletes have psychological issues (anxiety attacks, anorexia, etc)
These psychological weaklings got a ton of people fired. Go tell Pat Licari and his family or Jason Drake and his family how happy you are about what you accomplished you little sharts.
What the heck is wrong with some of you??
I just saw Pat today. I'm loaning him all my poles to help him get his club started.
It really sucks that Pat got fired. I wish that the new coaches had not chosen to replace him and/or that the AD had not insisted on cleaning house.
But you know what? If the choice is between losing ALL coaches and subjecting even a few athletes to abuse, then I choose firing all coaches, even though my friend unfairly lost his job as a result.
I am local and I have heard plenty of stories over the years. UW should have gotten rid of Greg years ago.
I'm not sure if so many of you really believe that the abused athletes are just being whiney, or if it's the same person posting over and over.
Newsflash: Just because YOU were not abused by your coach does not mean that other athletes were not.
