I’ve been Running for a long time, and recently started running 7 days per week instead of the usual six. Been doing this for about six months. Now in the morning my right Achilles is just stiff and sore, about 3 inches above the heel, so not insertional. Often it warms up just fine, and is ok 2 miles into a run, also I don’t run sprints, fastest sustained work for me is at tempo pace, but I’ve been doing all easy miles and this issue has remained.
So, is this arthritis, soreness, getting old? I read the threads about Tendonitis and how it hurts more when you run, that doesn’t seem to be the case here. Thanks for any advice.
