Actually that supports my argument more than it refutes it.

This thread really has revealed how whiny, insecure and pathetic a number of men on these boards are that they constantly have to bring up how unfair the women's steeple height is. Get a life.
A discussion is not whining. Women use the same size of obstacles in many other sports so why not in track and field? Should women tennis players have to hit the ball over a lower net?
The net height is different in volleyball for the two genders by 7.5".
The ball circumference and weight is different in basketball for the two genders.
The 3-point line is further away in the NBA than it is in the WNBA.
The tee placement in golf is different for the two genders.
The number of sets played in tennis is different for the two genders.
The barrier height is different in T&F.

The fact that something exists does not make it right.

50th percentile height for a female in the US is 5'3.8"
5' 5" for US women............ALL US women, not just young women who compete in T&F.
https://halls.md/average-height-women-height-weight/Here is a link to a percentile height calculator by country. It is the resource that was used for females AND males as it is more exacting than trying to infer percentages off of a chart that has a handful of lines on it.
https://tall.life/height-percentile-calculator-age-country/
Even if we use your chart, the tall women who dominate the sport are almost all still 90th percentile women. If charts for males were used all of the other male percentages would have to be adjusted downward as well. Here is a video of the men's race for the 2003 us championships. Daniel Lincoln towers over the other men in the race who are pretty much in the 5'8" to 5'10" range with a few exceptions (according to the charts an average 25-35 yo male is 5'10", according to the calculator, it is 5'9.3"). If anyone has video of the women's race go a ahead and provide a link.

You have clearly never taken a statistics course. Certainly never passed one.
Saying that 5'5" is 67% percentile for a young woman shows that you are a literal moron. Statistically.
I've been loosely following this thread, but has it came up to anyone that it might be because males run faster? Pretty sure a car has more damage faster it goes into another car. I.e. fender bender vs highway crash.
7:53 v.s 8:44 now.
Because women want to take everything.
