From what I know of what went down at RPI is someone not named O'Connor won and someone that was on the border of being cut was top 7. Not looking good for RPI if those two things are true.
How'd RIT do?

Most likely trash,
because RIT is trash.
These bitches still love sosa, just not RIT
Alright boys, I'm too lazy to pay attention to the entire season so I'm gonna extrapolate the regional championship based off of the first weekend results. I also only looked up results for RIT, Geneseo, Rowan, and TCNJ because I remembered their names first:
1st. Rowan - Ran an actual 8k. You might be able to claim that the course is fast or that their squad isn't totally put together, but it was an honest to goodness 8k. It's just man stuff.
2nd. Geneseo-Ran a 6k. I would usually claim that Geneseo is head and shoulders above Rowan but you cannot deny that this is a womens' distance.
3rd. TCNJ-Ran a 4k. Usually I would throw a fuss over how they only did a 4k but I reallllllllllllllly hate RIT so I'm giving them 3rd.
4th. RIT-Ran a 5k. Do I need to say anything else? Props to Otto for winning. If nothing else I think it's quite apparent that he has the biggest dick energy in the region.
That's it. I'm predicting 0 at large bids this year. We may miss out on the natties action but it'll make the rest of the country miss the AR and they'll give us a warm welcome in 2019.
Lmao who the hell runs a 4k for a collegiate race.
TCNJ needs to sack up and learn how to run a real distance instead of posting a half-assed workout so that they can say they "raced".

They won't even be in the running to win sunyacs.
RPI participated in a very....er...odd meet at Saint Rose college the past weekend that raised some suspicious red flags in my mind. They raced what appears to be their full team at a meet consisting of only them and one other D2 team in Saint Rose in an 8k on the first day of September, a time when people are typically racing 4-6k. They appeared to pack run although their speed still wasn't very fast. The O'Connors ran at 26:06, their 3-6 ran at 26:41 and their 7-10 were at 27:13. These times aren't "RPI" times which leads me to suspect that they ran it as a workout. This meet isn't even on TFRRS and there is almost no information about the course or anything regarding this race anywhere.. Saint Rose's 1 ran around 27:17 for an 11th place overall finish and their 7th man ran all the way at 39:16 for 8k. The team only ran 8 runners.
The strangest thing about this meet was how it was scored... RPI won with 15 points, naturally as you would if you ran 1-5. But it appears that every runner in the meet scored (or in other words, displaced the other team), for points. So RPI's 20th runner who finished in 23rd counted as a displacement. This led Saint Rose to score 108 as their runners finished 11th, 12th, 14th, 35th and 36th in the full competition. This is just odd to me.. RPI could have ran anywhere else. I'm wondering if there was a deal behind the scenes between the two schools for RPI to show up at the meet, this is the only explanation I can think of though. Either that or the RPI coach specifically wanted his team to run an 8k that specific weekend..If anyone could further elaborate on this that would be appreciated!
They prob wanted a close meet the first weekend. If you don’t compete the first weekend you can’t move in as early (depending on school start date and first competition date). Many teams do this or run a B team in the first meet.
James Bailey has sexy hammies
This would mark the first time in history that two coaches communicated in order to get one of their teams to show up at a meet hosted by the other team. I smell foul play!

Didn't Oneonta promote their jumps coach to head XC? Good luck beating one of the best distance coaches in the country with a jumper. Geneseo will walk away with the SUNYAC again this year.
I see...very fishy...I don't think RPI will be nattie material this year...only raced one other team but didn't even go full speed...
I think the coach is covering up for the fact that the O'Connors are finished, probably only did 20m/wk all summer. I will definitely take this info into consideration when computing future lists.

Half our mileage is bounding.
still early in the year but always fun to ask and speculate:
where y'all JPD's @?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
