Hi, i'm a 800m runner with a 2 min 09 seconds PR.
I'm currently running between 30 and 35 miles per week, i'm 18 years old.
I ran my PB a month ago during my "season opener", my goal is to peak between the end of June and the beginning of July.
My previous PR in 800m was 2'12 in 2016, I was injured last year (stress fracture + achilles).
I also ran a 18'50 5k 6 weeks ago (the race was a little bit hilly, with wind and rain).
Those weeks, i'm feeling way better, i'm doing better workouts than I never did (last week I did a 5k tempo on the track in 20 minutes, feeling really confortable, following with 4 200s (between 28 and 30) off to 200meters rest).
I'm having a competition this week, and i'm hesitating : is it better to run a 800m, a 1500m or is the double a good idea ?
I'm not a good miler (low endurance but working on it !) but if I run the 800m there is a chance that I win in 2 minutes 18 seconds with huge margin. People at my level (or better level) are running the 1500m.
What do you think about this ? (sorry for my bad English!!)
