hello, Just looking on suggestions on what to cut and how much to cut down for my 2 week half marathon taper.
a little back ground.
I am a 800m runner who spent all winter training mid-distance. In March I decided to start training for my second half marathon ever, which is May 6th.
previously in September i ran 1:15.51 off of 6 weeks of "specific training" ( XC stuff) (~50MPW).
Taking a look at my current training, i am wondering if anyone has any advice on how I should taper, I am taking it a bit more seriously this time around.
here is what my last 3 weeks have been. previously i built up to 60 (35,43,54). I tend to run fast for my long runs. my fastest being a 1:18.49 13.1 mile LR. Which was kinda dumb but i was running with a wicked runner and got carried away. most of my EZ runs are about 6:40/mile with the LRs in the low 6's.
any thoughts based on my very rushed, mid distance ish training for a taper. legs are pretty sore. but i feel fit as hell.
