I'm guessing top 5 for 2:07-2:08. Any thoughts?

with Mo
Buckingham Palace, just like everyone else.
lol. What will you racists do with yourselves when Rupp runs one of these circus shows and goes 2:03?
hadn't run
2nd to the GOAT Kipchoge.
He would have finished about a couple of seconds ahead of Mo Farah.
Farah maybe faster than Rupp in track, but Galen owns the marathon in his ideal weather conditions.
Galen Rupp needs the win against Mo in long distance race. And Mo needs to learn how to lose knowing that he already achieved everything in his running career. Now let Galen Rupp have the glory.
If he had gone out in 1:01:45-1:02:00 (with he second pack that never materialized) he would have finished second or third (more likely third, I think) and run 2:04:30-2:05:30.
Honestly, I think if he went with the leaders he would’ve either dropped out between 30-35k or swam home with Bekele in 2:08-2:09.
Depends... with or without the bandana?
2nd or 3rd at worse. Flat courses and warmish days are to his advantage.
Around 2:06

Just behind Farah.
If he was capable of top 5 finishes in high quality races then he would do them. The fact that he targets weak races tells you that he isn’t world class. His ceiling is 2:08
DNF
Man, Galen was in terrific shape, and so was Mo. I still think Mo works with NOP in some form or fashion, just not on the table.
In this race, and for some reason galen does well in hot weather. He would have run 2:06, and him and MO would have worked together..

When I saw the title of the thread, my initial thought was that he would have finished somewhere around Mo. It looks like a lot of people had the same reaction.
He would have DNFed. Not because of the weather conditions, but because Rupp could not have handled the fast first mile.
2 0 9
I would think he would have his own pacers going out in a 1:03 half and he runs down farah in the end for 3rd

Nope, way behind Mo. Rupp will never run a sub 2:07 marathon.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
