She just ended any further relationship with Brooks. She has every right to speak her mind and Brooks has every right not to extend her contract. She could of been paid as a brand ambassador for the rest of her life. That is over.
Go Jordan.

It seems like she wouldn't be allowed by her coaches, sponsors, etc to speak badly of a member of her organization. My personal opinion is that I've lost respect for her, as Ritz left NOP when he felt uncomfortable. Even if one is suspicious of NOP, Ritz seems to be clean and in my opinion the investigation only made him look better.
You might be thinking about Magness, who has spoken out publicly about NOP doping. Ritzenhein usually deflects questions about NOP doping. And yes, if was "uncomfortable" with what NOP was doing, he certainly put up with it for a long time. Conveniently, he left NOP a few months before the Fancy Bears leak revealed his coach was under investigation by USADA.
This board makes no sense. They rag on Anonymous Coach B for staying anonymous.
They rag on people that don't anonymously share their controversial opinions.
They rag on the Brojos for being so outspoken about doping.
Now they rag on Desi for asking questions about HER OWN TEAM AND TEAMMATES, which takes some serious, big time courage to speak out about what you think is right and put your livelihood on the line.
And they rag on the runners and coaches that keep it safe with standard PR speak, like Rupp and Lagat.
Face it. Nothing is ever good enough for some of you people. You just don't like it when runners and athletes speak their minds about controversial issues. You would rather have it that they are opinion-free pieces of entertainment that show up, run hard, smile, and go home.
I bet that Desi has never stood up to Ritz to tell him how she feels. Because a petty little B hides and snipes from afar. How did that press conference go today with Jordan Hasay sitting in the same room? Did the strong opinionated woman of high moral values walk up to Jordan or Galen and call them dopers? Of course not. She hides like a petty little B. I hope she runs slower than 2:30 and finishes out of the top 10.
Go Jordan. Win one for all of us.
It would have been interesting to observer the body language of Rupp, Hasay, Flanagan and Desi in that room. Definitely some drama simmering there.
It does kind of seem like Desi might be burning a bridge or two here....
A nobody who has been in the top 4 at Boston twice.

This may be a bit harsh, but I was wondering along those lines too. Did she voice her concerns to the Hanson's? Did she talk to Ritz about it?
If the answer is no then the comments today were a weak and passive aggressive attempt for attention.
If you don't want to talk to a person face to face, then don't throw shade just because there is a camera on.
Someone needs to put this L-carnitine question directly to Desi and the Hason brothers.
Rojo/Wejo can you put the question to them? If we think that NOP is the only one out there pushing the boundaries, then we all have our heads in the sands.
Desi is part of the Cry Baby Crew that is furious that Jordan Hasay and Galen Rupp are the best in the USA.
Shalane and Desi know they will never beat Jordan Hasay so now they want to wreck her reputation.
Go ask Desi what supplements and vitamins she is currently taking, and then asked her the last time she has taken prescribe and non prescribed drugs (for any illness)? Then asked her who is her doctor?

The irony is that Desi is destroying her own reputation. She is not aging gracefully. What is her best race since Boston last year? A couple 1:12 or 1:13 half marathons. Not sure she is better than Kellyn or Burla at this point. I and many others will be watching Desi on Monday but this time for all the wrong reasons.
1) I approve of her speaking out, good for her
2) I will buy her coffee. She should rock her maiden name and call it DaTrue coffee - great name
3) she’s hot
4) lr be complaining about everything. No matter what she said in that interview (with awful camera and audio work) there would be a thread bitching and moaning.

It's almost like there are diverse opinions across the board belonging to a number of different people with different perspectives. You cannot appease each individual without upsetting another.
My opinion is this. The USADA report is weak, and I am not convicting Galen of anything until I hear some real, non circumstantial proof. I think that these people that say they "hear things" but refuse to actual state what they have heard are cowards. I think jumping to conclusions about heavily tested runners when you have no special insight or information on the subject is ridiculous as well.
And the opinions are often focused on negativity and nobody ever being satisfied. But I think that is standard operating procedure on message board.
While the USADA report reveals some questionable testing of the limits, I mostly agree with you on the USADA report. I think the biggest advantage of the NOP is their access to resources, knowledge, science, and technology that allows for optimized training plans, better recovery, and more intense training. I must admit that I admire Rupp for his ability to deliver almost every time and block out the negativity and criticism.
If they would have anything they would’ve presented their case already, but they don’t. Innocent until proven guilty, end of story.
As for Desi, total lack of discipline, should have addressed that with the Hanson’s first, follow the chain of command in any organization. She just cast a doubt not only on Ritz, but also on the judgement of those who hired him, who happen to be her employer. Very low and unprofessional.
Bye Felicia!
They are happy to be together.

Good for her for speaking up. You’ve gotta love this board: hates rupp/hasay/saladbar for alleged doping violations, hates Desi for speaking out against ritz who is also implicated in those allegations, loves ritz despite him not having the semblemance of a career in the last decade. Ritz needs to hang up the shoes ASAP.
Agreed. After the backpack tweet ripping Salazar and now calling out a golden boy like Ritz for doping (which there isn't really any question he did) I have the utmost respect for her!! Good for her for not caring whether or not her sponsor approves of how she feels. But no one should be shocked that a strong opinionated female is getting thrashed on these boards. It is amusing how so many of the trolls and bashers are Jordan Hasay fans tho.

You’re trolling, right?
Who's performances are more suspicious based on their ability shown as a younger runner? Doper Desi by far.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
