1 mile @ 3k-5k pace (4:40)
7x400 @ 60 seconds rest (60-62)
1 mile @3k-5k pace (4:43)
Previous PRs
1500: 4:02
5k: 15:11
I have just come out of a long base phase and have found myself much fitter. I'm only left wondering how much fitter?
Help?

Your 400s indicate a 3:42- 3:50 time range for 1500m.
How fast and long are your long runs and mileage?
I'm doing 90MPW with a 14-18 mile long run at around 5:40-6:20 depending on how I feel. Most of my easy mileage otherwise is around 6:40-7
14-18 mile LR at 5:40-6:20 depending on feeling. 90 MPW usually
14:30 and 3:48.
How much rest between the miles and 400s?

Sub 3:50 for 1500m and sub 14 min for 5k

1/10
Wow those predictions are great. I hope I can pull off something like it.
Those predictions are way too generous. You have 3:50 potential this season, but you're not there yet. When I went sub-4:00 I could have done this workout without going to the well. I'll spot you 3:56-3:58 here and now. Probably 14:50 for 5k. Slowing down on your 2nd mile is a red flag that this workout really got to you.
With a good training program you should drop time quickly.
