Hi all,
I really hope all you guys out there may have some thoughts/suggestions/ideas/solutions to put forward.
Quick history. Cross country runner, female, 65-75 average a week. TRaining going great around October time, put it some solid weeks and great workouts.
But.....For the last Month or so, training which usually felt comfortable has been feeling extra tough and forced. Easy runs are fine, and even some normal faster runs have been normal. But as soon as I need to run race pace of faster intervals, my body shuts down and cannot do it at the desired pace or with any kind of control. The first thing is that the legs just feel awful then this obviously cause my breathing to get off and then its a downward spiral with the workout. I have thought perhaps its just mental but even slowing down and being happy with the at pace it doesn't help either.
Any advice on this? Side not: I've had blood tests and everything is normal range or perfect for an athlete, nutrition fine,( i think), sleep fine, work/training life sometimes a little tricky but nothing too stressful.
If anyone has this similar problem it would be e great to hear how you went about to feeling good again?
Thanks alot!
