Carbs are what make people fat: they gorge themselves on a high carb meal, which causes an insulin spike, which causes all those carbs to be stored as fat. Then they're hungry again: much sooner than if they ate a meal heavy in protein and fats.
Nope. Protein is satiating, Fat and carbs are similar in all tests.
That insulin theory has been debunked many times. Even Tim Noakes now says the only reason LCHF works is because it results in eating fewer calories, although he would still claim that not eating carbs results in less hunger. Nobody stands by that insulin theory any more. Everyone agrees it's Calories In Calories Out.
